The Musi is a composite beef breed that is a combination of:
• Tswana (28.2%)
• Tuli (4.4%)
• Brahman (22.6%)
• Bonsmara (18.4%)
• Simmental (26.3%)
The Musi was developed in 1982 at Musi ranch in Botswana.
The Musi has a small cervicothoracic hump, medium sized dewlap and a medium to large frame with bone structure heavier than Tswana and lighter than Simmental.
The Musi coat consists of short shiny hair and is predominately red in color but can also display some differing shades of fawn and brown.
