The Caracu Caldeano is a dairy breed and a variety of the Caracu.
The Caracu Caldeano originated from a herd belonging to the Dias family at Fazenda Recreio of Poços de Caldas (in Minais Gerais state in Brazil). A herdbook was started in 1960 and only purebreds are allowed.
