The Lost City of Atlantis prop for Dinosaur Surgery:
Our Lost City of Atlantis prop from the Original Production:
This ridiculous prop was used sometimes in Dinosaur Surgery — it was something that had been eaten and then needed to be “surgically” removed from the dinosaur patient’s stomach.
It kind of looks like a Dada architectural design — possibly a Jean Arp or Max Ernst drawing on a tablecloth after too many beverages had been consumed...maybe?
We would use the design above it today because it would be much more visible from a distance for a live audience to view.
