(most common name)
(transboundary/brand name):
• Murnau-Werdenfels
The Murnau-Werdenfelser is a Bavarian breed that possibly originated from the crossing of Brown Mountain cattle with some Grey Steppe cattle that entered Germany at one time.
The Murnau-Werdenfelser has a coat that ranges from bay to reddish-brown. They can also have a blackish head with a light-colored muzzleband.
The Murnau-Werdenfelser is one of the breeds used by Heinz Heck for recreating the extinct wild aurochs of Europe.
