The Criollo Gral Díaz is a variety of Paraguayan Criollo found at the Estancia Laguna General Díaz ranch. This 22,688 hectare (56,062 acres) ranch is located 60 km west of Fuerte Olimpo, the capital of the department of Alto Paraguay.

This area is on the edge of the Brazilian Pantanal region.

The Criollo Gral Díaz is not documented and is possibly a local wetland-adapted genotype.
