A bark is a yak-cattle hybrid found in Mongolia. Yak-cattle hybrids are commonly known as ‘yakows’ in English.

Because both cattle and yaks have 30 pairs of chromosomes, crossing to create hybrids is not only possible, it is widely practiced. However, only the female hybrids are fertile.
