The Ansbach-Triesdorfer is composite of Dutch-Friesian, Simmental, Allgäuer and Breitenburger (a variety of the Red Pied Schleswig-Holstein that was found in northwest Germany — see German Red Pied Holstein).
The Ansbach-Triesdorfer coat is described as having a ‘tiger’ or ‘tabby’ pattern.
