The Jochberg Hummel is a polled strain of the Pinzgauer breed that originated in the village of Jochberg in Salzburg. The lack of horns make them hard to harness and yoke for work.
The Jochberg Hummel was integrated into the Pinzgauer herdbook in 1997 and is no longer considered a separate breed.
The Jochberg Hummel, since 2002, is part of a conservation program for the Pinzgauer.
