The Jamaica Hope was developed with the idea of creating a high yield milk cow that could withstand the heat of Jamaica.
The Jamaica Hope is a composite dairy breed consisting of Jersey (80%), Zebu (15%) and Dutch-Friesian (5%) developed between 1920–1952.
