The Nkedi is a Small East African Zebu and is related to the Lugware and Nandi.

The names ‘Teso’ and ‘Lango’ refer to locations in Uganda (i.e. the Teso sub-region and the Lango sub-region).

Bukedea is a district in the Teso sub-region. The name ‘Bukedi’ is used by the Baganda and Iteso peoples.
