The German Angus is a recently developed modern beef population that is a combination cross between the Aberdeen-Angus and German dual-purpose breeds (German Black Pied, German Red Pied, German Simmental).
The German Angus produces leaner carcasses than pure Aberdeen-Angus cattle.
