The Carinthian Blond (aka Kärntner Blondvieh and Lavanttaler and Mariahofer and Mariahofer-Lavanttaler in German) is a composite of Mariahofer, Lavanttaler and other local strains from the Carinthian Basin. There is also influence of the Hungarian Grey.
Carinthia is the southernmost state of Austria.
