Alatauskaya - cow - Kazakhstan/Kyrgyzstan/Tajikistan

The Alatauskaya (aka Ала-Тау корова, Alatau; Ala-Tau in English; Алатау in Mongolian) is the Russian and most common name used in Kyrgyzstan for the Ala-Tau.

Kyrgyzstan prizes their Alatauskaya cattle for their adaptability to the local weather conditions which consist of dry summers and severe winters.

In 2002, a Alatauskaya population of 824,000 was reported for Kyrgyzstan, however no population data has been reported since then.
